Your journey
Career transition and progression
Changing careers – or even becoming competitive for promotion – requires a systematic and well-considered approach. Before we start planning your career, we will understand what your real career goals are, and how they fit into your life goals. The reason so many people are unhappy in their professional life is because they confuse job and career, or their career conflicts with their life goals.
So if you want move up, sideways or out, i will build a coaching program aligned with your goals. You can start being happy about your career without immediately having to change jobs. Keep in mind, your career is not now, it is ahead of you.
Finding your goals
Understanding where you want to go is essential to building a good career pathway. It only takes an hour to change your views on your career and where you would like to go.
Once we find your beyond-the-horizon career goals we identify your milestones, and build plans to turn your actions into achievements. We will make sure you have something to celebrate periodically.
Creating you professional profile
We create your current and future professional profile, to give you better opportunities tomorrow and beyond. Your future profile is based on your life values and goals, matched with your professional capabilities.
Building your network
Without a true network your career progression will likely be slow or ineffective. Together we will put plans in place to build your network proactively, avoiding networking events, which often render questionable results.
We envisage your network, aligned with your future, and build the stream you require. I will help you systemise your network building, without having. to leave your home.
Getting results
Once we have set the prerequisites, it is time to get results. Your milestones are achaivable in time allocated and by achieving these milestones, you will progress your career well.
You are not just responsible for your career, you drive the success of it.
Efficiency and goal setting
Most people would like more time in their day, to do they things they really want to do. The problem is ofen not in the amount of available time, but how time is allocated and spent.
Settng your goals clearly is the start to becoming more efficient. Scheduling your day, week and month will give you more flexibility whilst achieving more. It is possible, do more in less time.
Solidifying your goals in your values
We often set our goals based on where we think we want to go. Our goals may change by the week, month or year, but our intrinsic values rarely change over a life time. We will use these intrinsic values to solidify your goals, to ensure you are working on achieving the goals that align with your life’s best possible journey.
We do not need to change your goals, not unless you want to. We will make your goals more tangible and give them more weight, as they have been supported by, and aligned with your intrinsic values.
Allocating time, eliminating waste
If only we could manage time, but time does what it wants without us having any influence on it. We can manage how we use our time and what we allocate time to.
We will turn your to-do-list into an actionable plan, making sure everything important gets done on time and in full.
We will identify the waste in your life, and eliminate this waste. This way we can ensure you allocate your time to the things that matter most to you.
Scheduling to create flexibility and freedom
It may seem a contradiction, creating a schedule to generate more freedom, but it is not. There is no day without night, and there is no flexibility without structure.
We will change your view on flexibility, as most people are not flexible, they are merely reactive. We include flexibility in your day and adaptability in your mindset.
Learning to appreciate the discipline you set for yourself
Any plan or schedule is only as good as the willinness to stick to it. We will enhance your self-accountability, and understand the discipline you need to follow through.
There is nothing wrong with sticking to a plan you have create yourself. You have a vision, identified your goals and created a pathway, now it. isup to you to direct yourself along this pathway, otherwise all previous efforts will have been for nothing.
Leadership opportunities
Anyone can be a leader, and most of us are, in some way, shape or form. Investing in becoming a leader of people is rewarding and it is one of the better ways to develop your own proficiencies in interaction, relationships, empathy and coaching. There are so many opportunities out there for you to find or create.
Finding your leadership aspirations
The first things we will look into is why you want to be a leader, and what kind of leader you want to be. We will find out in what type of organisation you want to lead. I use the word organisation, as this applies to all leaders. A family, for instance, is an organisation, albeit an informal one.
Understanding what kind of leader you are
We will srtart with your leadership foundation and find out what kinf of leader you now are. This requires some searchig within you and we will most likely link your leadership to your life values.
We will find out what wisdoms you like and surround yourself with, and then we create your own wisdom, for that is leadership.
Influencing through learning how to communicate with impact
Leadership is the ionteraction between people, it is relationship based and relationships are established and maintain through communication.
We will focus on communicating with impact, to be concise and clear, after you have build rapport with those you lead.
Developing your leadership pathway
Once you know your goals and your leadership aspirations, we will build you a pathway to create clear actions. This pathway is always under review and will never end. Your adaptability will determine your ongoing success.
Not sure if coaching is right for you?
If you are willing to learn and reflect on your current mindset, you are likely highly coachable. Every high performer has, or has had, a coach at some point in their career. Getting to the top – to your ultimate goals – will be more efficient if you are coached.
I am a certifed and highly experienced results coach, and have not met a person I could not coach. This has only been possible because I am open to be coached. I have two coaches who help me with my practice and expertise.
Essential to a good coaching outcome is the rapport you have with your coach. Be open to your coach and allow yourself to build trust. I am committed to all my coachees and I make every effort to build a personal connection to get the best results.
