I call myself a global citizen and a scholar. I love working with people who are looking to find and achieve their goals, making their lives better tomorrow than they were yesterday. I love coaching; I learn from every coachee and every coaching engagement enhances my expertise.

My Background

Born and raised in the Netherlands, matured in Australia I am a bit of a mixed bag of lollies. Educated at university, trained in the military and developed in the corporate world, I have a comprehensive understanding of people, their basic needs and requirements. 

Coaching is an essential part of leadership and over the last two decades I have led and developed leaders in the military and corporate world. To be able to develop leaders, I learned to understand them, their ambitions and motivations. I have helped them remove their internal obstacles and support them in finding the best pathway to their success. We work together with the fullest consideration of their life, and life actors. Developing people I worked with was one of my key sources of job satisfactions.

As an executive and organisational leadership coach, I love working with leaders to make them and their leaders better. Working with people is the reason I get up in the morning and I am looking to help more people achieve their goals, outside the corporate world. 

Most people I have worked with would have heard him say ‘Stop the race on the grey scale and turn on the colour’. I live this way, I lead this way and I coach this way, avoiding the race to being average and using personal strengths, values and ambition to stand out as a difference maker.

Privilege of Leadership

My very first book hit the shelves in July 2021 and reached #1 on Amazon in the category Business Decision Making. This book focusses on the privilege of leadership, and how I discovered this privilege during my career. I believe we need to make leadership simple, creating leadership solutions leaders can understand, own and replicate. I coach using the same principles, and this book is the start of a privilege-series, which will be completed two more books late 2021.
